The Peak District is home to some of the best climbing edges in the country all with spectacular views overlooking the Derbyshire moors and valleys with climbing grades to suit all ages and ability.
Climbing is a great outdoor activity for teambuilding as it focuses on roles and responsibilities, placing trust in others, in order to achieve success.
In Derbyshire there is also plenty of opportunity to take the activity indoors with a number of indoor climbing walls as an alternative option.
We also offer specialist courses in the Peak District for those wishing to progress with their climbing skills on either Gritstone or Limestone. All these courses are lead by qualified instructors who hold the Mountain Instructor Award and the maximum ratio for these outdoor activity days is 1:4 so you can gain the most out of your Peak District climbing experience.
The gritstone edges of the Peak District are a great place to have a go at rock climbing and places like Stanage and Burbage have a wide selection of appropriate rock climbs ranging in height from 5 to 30 metres.
Initially your instructor will choose routes which are ideal for beginners and will build confidence in participants whilst they learn new skills like belaying. There are plenty of harder routes on these crags which allow improving climbers to test their skills too.
With a choice of venues, difficulty and the ability to combine with other activities like abseiling or weaseling, rock climbing sessions are always a big hit. We can often set up a number of climbs within a short distance allowing larger parties to stay together whilst having the opportunity to vary the challenge level within the group.
