Orienteering is the sport of navigation with map and compass. It is easy to learn, but always challenging. The object is to run, walk to a series of points shown on the map, choosing routes–both on and off trail–that will help you find all the points and get back to the finish in the shortest amount of time.

Before you set off we will teach you the basic principles of navigation, using the maps and compass provided. We will adapt your route to match the physical capabilities of your group; whether you'd prefer to scramble over rough terrain in a race to the finish, or amble along tranquil woodland paths. We'll design a challenge to bring out the best in your day.

Orienteering is suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness, with teams large and small. It provides a great opportunity to explore the beauty of the Derbyshire countryside, combined with the added excitement of competing against your friends and colleagues!
