Our improvised rafting sessions on the River Derwent at Darley Abbey near Derby are great for persons or groups looking for a fun day out whilst under the supervision of qualified instructors.Our facilities also include male and female toilets, changing rooms and showers
Our instructors will equip you with safety equipment such as buoyancy aid and paddle. All you have to do is design and build a vessel to transport you and your group. you have built your craft you will receive a safety talk and then you will soon be on the water (or in it), practicing paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping.
After a short practice your guide will then lead you on a journey/race around a set course.
Improvised rafting is a half day activity or it can be combined with a variety of activities to make a full day: Full day is only £10 per person more for most groups.
